Survivor 18th B'day Party
With everything going on around the shoehouse lately I volunteered to help Riley and Kelly host their 18th birthday party. When I suggested the theme I never thought about the actual survival part of the party :) They invited about 30 16/17/18 year olds had around 23 show 6 of which had not been invited... but over all good showing. We had planned for outside survivor games, but got rained out, so plan B- inside, lots of chaos, no longer 2 teams because of room restraints, and no real enthusiasm for games... gotta love teens! But I think over all they had a good time, I made in my opinion a pretty darn good cake (both in taste and look), Brian made wonderful kabobs and VIRGIN daiquiris, and no one died.... if anyone needs or wants ideas for their own party let me know I got a list of what I thought were fun games.
And the verdict it...
the buyers walked away. Anyone know someone looking for a house in Pleasant Grove UT? We're back at square one....

Could use a prayer
I know I know when doesn't Katie need a prayer, but today we received a call from our realtor that things are not quite where we had hoped. After being dragged along for past 3 months our buyers are having 2nd thoughts about moving to Utah... and therefore 2nd thoughts about buying the house. Unfortunately it seems all we can do it pray and so I'm asking for everyone help when they get a few minutes of quiet.
Budget finale
Well I know you all are waiting on hands and knees for the final episode of Brian and Katie's Move from ..... I'll let you fill in the blanks. Budget finally reimbursed us for our hotel, truck rental, and food/necessities. (the wouldn't pay our overdraft fees from them not paying one of the nights they were supposed to and the hotel charging us without telling us... or our wireless mins or our time without pay/work...) But I am just so glad that they went above what they "normally" reimburse and that we got the check before they said it would get it. Finally they DID something. YEAH
