Blessings

You can count on children to teach us how thin the veil really is. This last week Brian has had alot of migraines and so on Thursday he called a friend from our old ward to come give him a blessing. Ty was still awake by this time and so of course I stood holding him trying to keep him quiet. Knowing something was going on and I'm sure probably feeling the Spirit he was uncharacteristically quiet. After it Brian's blessing was over and Derek had another neighbor had left Ty climbed up on the same chair and sat calling "Dad" Brian was already close by and so asked him what he needed. Ty took Brian's hands and put them on his head, closed his eyes, and folded his arms and said Amen. Brian and I joined him in saying Amen. It amazes me how much he picks up and understands. Somedays I wish he spoke a little more clear so that I could understand all he knows, but for now I'm content with Dad, hands, and Amen

What a beautiful experience. Thanks for sharing. Our little ones understand more than we give them credit for.

A few weeks ago I walked into the living room and saw Madi sitting on the floor. Aspen was standing behind her with her hands on Madi's head, and I walked in just in time to hear Aspen say a prayer like that. It was sweet. I think our kids know more about what is going on in that area than we give them credit for. Even though Aspen can't give priesthood blessings, I know she understands that something special is going on, just like baby Ty did.

what an angel! makes you feel guilty for getting frustrated when they do bad things with they are so cute like that right? (or maybe it's just me that gets frustrated!)
