Busted lip, 3 stitches, worn out

Mom was getting ready for ward council when Ty decided to fall and hit his lip with his sharp teeth (Mom and Dad can attest to them being sharp- he's left marks...) So- 9:30 Sunday morning we headed over the the Orem Instacare, good thing they were open so we didn't have to go to the ER. Waited about an hour and half saw the DR, they said it was on the boarder if Ty needed stitches or not. She said if he was active then she'd do the stitches, if he was a mellow kid, then she probably wouldn't worry about it... Brian and I looked at each other as if there was any doubt if Tyler was an active kid or not... walking since 8 months I don't think he'll sit still. It took Brian, the DR, a nurse and I to try to keep him down to get the stitches. As soon as he was done the nurse gave him a sticker and he was all smiles after that. He was so worn out that 5 mins after being home we crashed in Dad's arms

poor little guy! Don't they look so cute when they are sleeping part of you just wishes they slept all the time (sometimes a very big part!) Some relaxing Sunday, eh?

Going to the doctor is always tramatic for little kids. What a day!

I remember getting stitches when I was around 4. One of my earliest memories actually. Couldn't believe my Mom was letting them sew me up.

At least he'll have a story to tell when the conversation turns to past injuries.

So sad! Glad he's ok and that you didn't have to go to the E.R. Maybe he'll get a cool scar out of it.

Cute little boy . . check. Hurting himself right before Mom has somewhere to go? . . check. Needing stitches . . check. Going to the ER . . uh, not quite yet.

Glad he's okay. Thank goodness for stickers. When Marlee broke her arm (at 18 months) it took 2 nurses, the largest Dr. they could find, and me to hold her down. Amazing how strong those little people are.

Oh my...that is so sad. It probably broke your heart to watch the nurse stitch him up. I can't stand watching the nurses give Ethan shots and that isn't nearly as bad as stitches. Is he doing okay now??

Ohhhh..sooooo sad! I am glad to hear that he is ok, and that YOU weren't the one to hold him down. I hope that Jarod will be around when stuff like that happens to Isaac, because sometimes I just can't bear to see him cry...

He still looks super snuggly (said with a slur if you please) even with a banged up lip!!

Uh-Oh, I'm afraid this may be a sign of things to come... let's hope he doesn't end up like Jim, who had his own private room with his name above the door at the ER for a while there when he was playing soccer. Is it just part of being a boy? I may never know- you know, growing up with just 3 sisters, and now having my 2 little girls. I've never broken a bone, although I did cut off the top part of my pinkie finger in a door in 1st Grade.

I hope baby Ty is feeling better- he looks so dang cute all curled up and sleeping in this picture. It's got to be the closest thing to heaven to hold a cuddly, sleeping baby in your arms, don't you think?

Love you guys,
Kim

Oh poor baby! I'm sure that scared you. Hey I have been down that road. Peyton has pulled that trick twice.
